Tax Manager (Public Accounting | CPA/EA)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust tax returns.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals while ensuring high-quality work and timely completion of engagements.
• Maintain a hands-on role in tax preparation, not solely reviewing work.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide proactive tax guidance.
• Prepare income tax projections and multi-scenario tax planning strategies.
• Conduct tax research and analyze complex tax issues, providing practical recommendations and risk assessments.
• Advise clients on complex tax matters, including international tax issues when applicable.
• Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining exceptional client service and technical accuracy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive Public Accounting Tax experience.
• Extensive hands-on tax preparation experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Active CPA or EA license REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Strong technical expertise in individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust taxation.
• Experience with tax planning, projections, and tax research.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.
• Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities.
• Able to manage multiple engagements while maintaining quality and deadlines.
• Must be able to work full-time in-office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Taxation or Accounting.
• Experience advising clients on international tax matters.
• Experience with business development and client relationship growth.
