Tax Manager | Private Credit Fund Outsourcing
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates proficient knowledge of technical skills, industry trends and alternatives.
- Identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team
- Review of all federal and state tax returns and K-1s and related filings
- Review and respond to federal and state notices received
- Aid in gathering data and reviewing schedules to be used in preparing tax returns
- Cook up tax compliance processes with clients’ functional teams and clients’ external service providers
- Prepare year end estimates
- Manage staff on engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, tax returns, work papers, etc.)
- Complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budget
- Understand the client’s organization, procedures and internal policies
- Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects
- Responsible for billing and realization on assigned clients
- Able and willing to work with client personnel at client location, as needed
- Absorb and assist with developing engagement budgets, billing and ensuring desired realization on assigned clients
- Identify need for staffing resources and manage scheduling process for staff
- Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively
- Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and builds a positive culture
- Participate in practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business and the opportunities for cross-serves
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Proficient use of applicable technology
