The position is hybrid, with team members encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration.

This role supports our Private Client Services Group, working alongside Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners to deliver value to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, handling pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverable development, and billing and collections.
  • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements, integrating tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies.
  • Prepare and present federal and state income tax returns, and strategize for clients.
  • Work with various business entities, including corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, fiduciary, and foundations.
  • Identify industry and client tax planning opportunities and issues.
  • Implement tax advice in response to new legislation and planning.
  • Facilitate complex tax research and establish tax strategies for client business transactions.
  • Advise on IRS and state issues, and respond to correspondence and audits.
  • Assist with interim tax projections and year-end closeouts.
  • Provide supervision, training, and mentoring to tax staff, seniors, and other team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
  • Private Client Services (PCS) experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent licensure required.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of tax software such as CCH Axcess.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
