The position is hybrid, with team members encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration.
This role supports our Private Client Services Group, working alongside Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners to deliver value to clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, handling pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverable development, and billing and collections.
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements, integrating tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies.
- Prepare and present federal and state income tax returns, and strategize for clients.
- Work with various business entities, including corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, fiduciary, and foundations.
- Identify industry and client tax planning opportunities and issues.
- Implement tax advice in response to new legislation and planning.
- Facilitate complex tax research and establish tax strategies for client business transactions.
- Advise on IRS and state issues, and respond to correspondence and audits.
- Assist with interim tax projections and year-end closeouts.
- Provide supervision, training, and mentoring to tax staff, seniors, and other team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
- Private Client Services (PCS) experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent licensure required.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of tax software such as CCH Axcess.
- Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
