Tax Manager [Financial Services]
About the role
We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our Financial Services Group in Denver, CO in a hybrid capacity. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm; most professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid, with team members expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days per week.
Your team
As part of the Financial Sponsors & Financial Services team, you’ll work with leading private equity, venture capital, hedge, real estate, cannabis, private credit, and other alternative investment funds. You’ll gain deep knowledge of the capital markets ecosystem and deliver comprehensive transaction, fund, and portfolio company audit, tax, and value creation solutions. Due to the unique organizational structure of most private investment funds, you’ll collaborate across CohnReznick’s industry and service lines to deliver outstanding technical and client service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Develop detailed engagement work plans
- Illustrate budgets and schedules
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
- Gain the respect and confidence of the team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear direction and leadership
Your experience
- 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
- Financial Services experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Active CPA license required
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX
- Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
Pay
In Colorado, the salary range for Tax Managers is $110,000 – $170,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
