We are part of Baker Tilly International, a worldwide network of independent accounting and business advisory firms. Join us as an experienced Tax Manager with our Healthcare team based in NorCal.
Responsibilities
- Provide various tax, accounting, and advisory services to clients requiring complex corporate tax expertise.
- Oversee and provide services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping, and prepared or compiled financials.
- Review and analyze accounting records and/or reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with clients on accounting and business matters.
- Deliver best-in-class customer service to clients at all times, emphasizing responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism, and accuracy.
- Lead and plan client engagements, continuously evaluate processes and procedures within client services and implementation functions, and implement efficiencies and identify internal control issues.
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on knowledge gained from the client’s operations, processes, and business objectives.
- Manage and build client relationships, act as a liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assist team leaders in researching and providing additional services to clients.
- Delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
- Aid in managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.

Qualifications
- Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or a related business major; a Master's or advanced degree is desirable.
- A CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent is required.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely project completion.
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
Pay
The national pay rate range for this position is $91,220 - $172,990. In California, the pay range is $112,500 to $172,950.
