Tax Compliance
- Ensures clients comply with all applicable authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
- Resolves all tax issues with clients and involves specialists as necessary.
- Communicates with clients and Assurance counterparts to manage tax accrual reviews, including planning, budgeting, and scope.
- Manages client relationships and expectations.
- Timely billing and collection of accounts receivable.
Research
- Identifies when research is needed and clearly reports findings.
- Applies most Firm and professional standards for preparing WTA and tax returns.
- Communicates with Assurance counterparts for timely tax accrual reviews.
- Manages STS as needed.
Tax Consulting
- Assists with developing and implementing methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing taxes.
- Develops and implements a work plan for ongoing projects.
- Serves as a technical resource for client service teams.
- Ensures compliance with Firm policies regarding Written Tax Advice (WTA).
- Provides effective support during exam processes.
- Frames projects and issues for effective delegation to seniors and associates.
Tax Specialization
- Develops an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues related to one or more areas of taxation.
- Organizes and conducts internal CPE training sessions in area of specialization, involving Firm specialists.
Strategy Development
- Introduces and develops new or improved ideas to improve client positions, the Firm, or Firm personnel.
- Reviews studies of tax implications and offers clients alternative courses of action.
- Identifies and leverages lessons learned on prior projects and offers input on improving processes and methods.
