Tax Manager

About the role

Weaver is a full-service national accounting, advisory and consulting firm seeking talented tax leaders at the Manager level. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 5+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities, including training and mentoring less-experienced team members.
• Sells and executes engagements in a variety of industries.
• Mentors and develops a team.
• Manages client relationships and attracts new clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA with 5+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience or a combination of both.

Skills

• Technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a variety of industries.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop a team.
• Strong relationship management and practice development skills.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $191,000 in the California, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.

Actual schedule will be determined based on the needs of the firm and the individual's qualifications.
