Tax Manager
About the role
Weaver is seeking talented tax leaders at the Manager level to join our growing firm. We serve a variety of clients in multiple industries, including private equity-backed clients, large businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. Our scope of services includes tax planning and preparation, entity structuring, wealth preservation, family succession consulting, and more.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with firm leadership and play a key role in business development and firm administration activities, including training and mentoring less-experienced team members.
- Manage and mentor a team of less-experienced tax professionals.
- Execute engagements in a variety of industries, demonstrating technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements.
- Attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients.
Requirements
- CPA with 5+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience or a combination of both.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Skills
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team.
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills.
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $191,000 in the California, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- CPA with 5+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience or a combination of both.
