About the Opportunity A well-established and growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its tax practice. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, review complex tax returns, identify tax planning opportunities, and collaborate with a team of experienced professionals in a flexible and supportive environment.The ideal candidate is technically strong, client-focused, and enjoys both hands-on tax work and serving as a trusted advisor to individuals and businesses. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities.Identify tax savings opportunities and provide proactive planning recommendations to clients.Research complex tax issues and communicate findings effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.Review the work of junior team members and provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance.Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships.Assist with tax projections, year-end planning, and consulting engagements.Ensure compliance with changing tax regulations and reporting requirements.Utilize technology and tax software platforms to improve efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with firm leadership on client service initiatives and special projects.Support practice growth through exceptional client service and relationship management. Qualifications CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.8+ years of public accounting tax experience, with additional experience preferred.Strong experience preparing and reviewing: Individual tax returnsPartnership tax returnsCorporate tax returnsExtensive tax review experience with the ability to identify errors, opportunities, and planning considerations.Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting is a plus.Proficiency with tax software and accounting platforms, including cloud-based applications.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
