About the role
This position plays a critical role in managing income tax reporting, compliance, and planning activities across a multi-entity environment. You'll work closely with Accounting, Treasury, and global partners to ensure compliance while identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including returns, estimates, and supporting workpapers
- Lead audit support activities, including responding to IDRs and coordinating documentation
- Serve as a key liaison for tax audits and regulatory inquiries
- Oversee preparation and review of income tax provisions (ASC 740), including deferreds and effective tax rate analysis
- Analyze and document uncertain tax positions and technical accounting issues
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance across all tax jurisdictions
- Coordinate with global partners on foreign filings, withholding, and reporting requirements
- Support international tax initiatives, including intercompany transactions and transfer pricing considerations
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and prepare clear, well-documented technical memos
- Partner with leadership to support tax strategy, cash tax optimization, and risk management
- Provide proactive insights to inform business and financial decisions
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience in corporate income tax
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Experience with ASC 740 and tax provision processes
- Prioritization of complex tax issues, research, and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-entity or global organizations
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm)
- Exposure to international tax and cross-border operations
- Strong analytical mindset with an inquisitive, solutions-oriented approach
- CPA or advanced degree (preferred but not required)
