Tax Services
Manage multiple tax engagements from planning through completion.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, fiduciaries, and individuals.
- Prepare and review tax projections and estimated tax calculations.
- Conduct tax research and prepare technical memoranda, written correspondence, and client guidance.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services.
- Research complex tax issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Accounting and Financial Reporting
Oversee month-end and year-end accounting close processes.
- Review general ledger activity and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and assist with the preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements, including required disclosures and engagement checklists.
- Afford support to external audit engagements as needed.
Client Management
Manage and maintain relationships with multiple clients across various industries.
- Communicate engagement progress, issues, recommendations, and resolutions through written and verbal correspondence.
- Anticipate engagement risks and proactively develop solutions.
- Ensure engagements are completed efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.
Leadership and Staff Development
Supervise, mentor, train, and develop professional staff.
- Review staff workpapers, tax returns, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide timely coaching, performance feedback, and technical guidance.
- Afford assistance with staff scheduling, workflow management, and engagement assignments.
- Foster a collaborative and professional team environment.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA license preferred; active CPA license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of recent public accounting experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation for individuals and business entities.
- Excellent accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong tax research abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple engagements and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with tax software such as UltraTax or similar platforms.
- Foreign tax experience is an advantage.
