About the role
As a Manager in the Tax Department, you will play a crucial leadership role in managing complex client engagements, ensuring high-quality tax compliance and consulting services. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Taking full responsibility for overseeing all aspects of client engagements, including efficient service delivery, scheduling, progress monitoring, and timely delivery of tax solutions.
- Acting as the primary client contact by leading meetings, resolving concerns, and communicating proactively to understand client goals, challenges, and tax needs.
- Tax return review including 1120, 1120s, 1065 and 1040
- Overseeing and reviewing complex tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance and optimal outcomes.
- Handling administrative responsibilities such as billing, managing project timelines, and participating in internal committees.
- Engaging in regular client check-ins, including professional and networking events, to maintain and strengthen relationships.
- Training, mentoring, and developing staff, while providing technical guidance and ensuring deliverables meet firm standards.
- Fostering a collaborative environment and supporting team members’ growth and adherence to firm policies and best practices.
- Identifying new client opportunities and representing the firm at conferences, professional events, and community organizations.
- Contributing to firm-wide initiatives that improve processes and service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- A minimum of 7 years of public accounting experience, with significant exposure to tax planning, compliance and research
- Advanced proficiency with tax software and technology tools used in tax planning and preparation
- Expertise in reviewing complex tax returns and technical aspects of tax compliance
- Multi-state income tax compliance and understanding of nexus rules
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop staff
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Pay
$165,000 - $180,000 Annually, based on experience and qualifications
