Our tax team takes a proactive approach to helping clients understand and navigate evolving tax laws, minimize liabilities, and take advantage of strategic opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and review complex tax engagements for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
- Handle fiduciary and trust returns, multi-state filings, and specialized compliance areas
- Conduct and document thorough tax research and analysis
- Stay current with IRS, state, and local tax law developments
- Respond to tax authority inquiries and support clients through examinations or notices
- Mentor, train, and support the development of tax staff
- Provide constructive performance feedback and lead by example
- Support business development by cultivating client relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Partner with firm leadership to provide insight and contribute to service enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of tax experience in public accounting preferred
- CPA license required (or actively pursuing licensure where applicable)
- Strong technical understanding of federal and state tax codes with proven research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadline-driven engagements
- Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Engagement, and Microsoft Office tools is preferred
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a client service mindset
