Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
- Lead tax planning, projections, and advisory engagements for clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted advisory relationships
- Research complex tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly to clients and partners
- Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
- Review work prepared by Seniors and Associates and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback
- Manage IRS and state audits, notices, and correspondence
- Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and workflow planning during tax season
- Collaborate with partners on client strategy, process improvements, and firm initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license required
- 6–10+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong technical knowledge of individual and business taxation
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Qualifications
- Preferred Experience: Experience with multi-state and complex tax matters, exposure to high-net-worth individuals and closely held entities, prior client relationship management experience
Skills
Strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to balance client service, team leadership, and firm initiatives in a fast-paced public accounting environment.
