Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all tax operations and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Preparing and reviewing federal income tax returns and ensuring their accuracy.
- Managing and maintaining the company's inventory and deferred taxes.
- Providing expert tax advice to support strategic decision-making.
- Identifying tax risks and opportunities and developing strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.
- Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to tax laws.
- Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management.
- Extensive knowledge of federal income tax return, inventory, and deferred taxes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of tax software and databases.
- In-depth understanding of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
