Job Description Summary GRF is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts. This position can be based out of the following locations on a hybrid basis: Encino, CA, Century City, CA, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, White Plains, NY, or Nashville, TN. The hybrid work arrangement may be adjusted or altered to fill the needs of the role, including potentially working in-office for 3+ days per week. Job Description Primary Responsibilities Supervise and train assigned Staff Accountants and Account ManagersReview and possibly prepare moderate to complex, multi-state tax returns (individual, S corporation, C corporation, partnership, estate, and an emphasis on trusts)Stay abreast of changing state and federal laws, policies, and economic/political climate which may affect clients’ financesSupervise and review Staff Accountant’s and/or Senior Staff Accountant’s preparation of moderately complex tax returnsConduct tax research and multi-jurisdictional planning, and foreign touring clearancesReview financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc.Communication with clients and client representatives via phones, email, and in-person meetingsAct as a coach and trainer to develop staff members into efficient and effective client team members, and address performance issues and concerns as neededAssist Managing Director in identifying and onboarding prospective clientsSupport Account Managers to provide highest level of customer service by assisting with contracts, budgeting, home purchases, tours, and year-endOther projects and duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years of experience with multi-state tax returns, with an emphasis on trusts (in addition to individual, S corporation, C corporation, partnership, and estate)Master's Degree, CPA and/or 6+ years in a similar role is highly preferredCCH Axcess is requiredBasic understanding of AgilLink is highly preferredProven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws and rule/regulationsSense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow throughCommitment to professionalism and accuracyStrong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a trusting relationship with staff and clientsPrior exposure to royalties, touring services, music publishing and record label administration is highly preferred This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $135,000 - $175,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
