About the role
We’re looking for a Tax Manager to play a key role in managing and optimizing tax operations across two high-growth brands: Fabletics and Savage X Fenty. This role substantially contributes to core direct tax functions including compliance, tax provisions, and income tax filings—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with evolving regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end corporate income tax compliance cycle for both Fabletics and Savage X Fenty, ensuring all tax and regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time for each respective brand and legal entity(s).
- Oversee quarterly estimated tax payments, extension filings, and annual return preparation, in coordination and collaboration with external tax service providers.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740-270 and ASC 740) independently for each brand and legal entity, including supporting calculations and documentation.
- Perform tax accounting close activities (US GAAP), including reconciliation of tax accounts, flux analysis, and coordination with financial statement close timelines.
- Aid and when necessary, research tax implications of corporate transactions and strategic business initiatives as needed.
- Prepare and analyze state apportionment calculations, ensuring accurate allocation of income across state, local and foreign jurisdictions for each entity.
- Ensure appropriate separation of reporting, documentation, and submissions between the two companies.
- Partner with external advisors, financial statement auditors, and tax service providers to support tax compliance, provision processes, audits, inquiries, and notices for both entities.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies that optimize the tax position of each company while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.
- Identify and drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices across tax operations – with emphasis on AI use cases and AI driven optimization.
- Lead ad hoc tax projects, research and AI initiatives, providing recommendations and guidance to tax and finance leadership when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, legal, operations and supply chain teams, to integrate tax considerations into business operations.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate tax (public accounting and/or in-house)
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance and US GAAP ASC 740 tax provision concepts
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA required
