The Opportunity: Tax Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to our UHNW clients.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop Talent

• Mentor and coach tax professionals in a high-performance, team-first environment
• Partner with leadership on onboarding, training, and team development
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth
• Review and manage sophisticated returns across individual, trust, partnership, corporate, and international structures
• Ensure compliance across federal, state, and global tax regulations
• Oversee multiple engagements while maintaining exceptional quality
• Design and implement tailored tax strategies aligned to client wealth goals
• Advise on estate, gift, and captive insurance planning strategies
• Proactively identify planning opportunities throughout the year
• Build strong, long-term relationships with UHNW clients
• Provide insight on complex financial decisions, investments, and transactions
• Deliver a proactive, concierge-level client experience
• Stay ahead of evolving tax laws and industry trends
• Advise firm leadership on technical and planning matters
• Contribute to the continued growth and innovation of DBTA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
• CPA required
• 5+ years of tax experience, including leadership experience
• Proven experience working with ultra-high-net-worth clients
• Deep expertise in federal, state, and international tax
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex tax concepts
• High-level client relationship management
• Experience with CCH (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
