Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, planning, and preparation for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals and various business entities in the real estate sector. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings while providing strategic tax planning advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, corporations, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including multi-state considerations.
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax planning strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
• Review and approve tax returns and supporting documentation prepared by staff.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and understand their financial situations and tax needs.
• Utilize tax software, including CCH Axcess and Checkpoint, to facilitate tax preparation and research processes.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients and the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in real estate.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, planning, and preparation for individuals and various business entities.
• Experience with multi-state taxation and compliance is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in tax software such as CCH Axcess, and familiarity with Checkpoint is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
