Tax Manager
About the role
CohnReznick is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Richmond office. This position is hybrid, with team members expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing multiple tax engagements that integrate tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies
- Presenting federal and state income tax returns and strategizing for clients
- Working with all types of business entities including corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, fiduciary, and foundations
- Identifying industry/client tax planning opportunities and issues
- Facilitating complex tax research, and establishing tax strategies to client business opportunities
- Advising regarding IRS and state issues, and responding to correspondence and audits
- Assisting with interim tax projections and year-end closeouts
- Implementing tax advice in response to new legislations and planning
- Providing supervision, training, mentoring and guidance to tax staff, seniors and other members of the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
- CPA or JD required, 6+ years' experience in a public accounting firm; Real Estate industry experience preferred
- Multistate income tax experience
- Fiduciary tax (Trust/Estate) experience is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, CCH Access, CCH Engagement and BNA Tax Planner
- Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
- Ability to travel and meet with clients
Qualifications
- Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred
- CPA or JD required

Pay
The salary range for a Tax Manager is $120,000 to $170,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.

This position is hybrid, with team members expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week.
