What You'll Do
- Review U.S. federal and state income tax returns and workpapers to ensure proper determination of liability as well as timely and efficient reporting
- Responsible for state income tax apportionment calculations
- Responsible for managing co-sourced prep of international tax aspects of consolidated tax return (forms 5471, 8858, etc.), including calculation of CFC's earnings/profits, Subpart F inclusions, basis calculation, foreign tax credit, and income sourcing
- Responsible for review and / or preparation of complex book-tax differences
- Responsible for all U.S. federal and state cash tax estimates and payments
- Aid with upcoming corporate alternative minimum tax calculations and global OECD Pillar 2 reporting requirements
- Aid with the preparation and review of income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including the income tax footnote and related disclosures
- Conduct tax research and draft tax technical memoranda on various federal, state and international tax issues
- Aid with modeling/forecasting tax implications of subpart F, foreign tax credits, GILTI and other similar computations
- Aid with ongoing federal income tax IRS audit, which includes gathering details related to information document requests
- Work with outside vendors and internal departments on tax technology development, improvement and implementation
- Aid with state income tax audits, which includes drafting responses to internal and external requests and gathering details related to information document requests
- Other work related tasks / ad-hoc reporting as needed
What You'll Need
- 8+ years tax accounting experience with private industry and/or public accounting
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax principles
- Extensive background in U.S. federal and state tax compliance
- Experience with Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740) and SEC/quarterly reporting a plus
- Experience with Subpart F, transfer pricing and foreign tax credit calculations
- Experience with global businesses in U.S. tax compliance and IRS audits
- Experience with tax preparation software programs such as OneSource
- Comfortable with tax research tools
- Ability to gather, organize and analyze data
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications, particularly Excel
- Alteryx knowledge a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team player, detail oriented, and organized
- Ability to work with minimal daily supervision
- Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills
Your Education
- CPA or CPA candidate is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax required
- Master's degree preferred
