About the role
Role can be remote to the right person, but preferred in Louisville, KY office.
Responsibilities
- Review and sign individual and business tax returns for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients nationwide.
- Lead tax planning conversations in collaboration with Cerity Partners' financial advisors, presenting strategy and projections in client-facing meetings.
- Prepare and review tax projections for estimated payments, charitable strategies, retirement planning, and Roth conversions.
- Act as the dedicated tax advisor to clients and advisory teams, helping secure and deepen long-term relationships.
- Mentor junior staff, sharing expertise and promoting professional growth across the team.
- Ensure tax compliance while identifying strategic planning opportunities to enhance the client experience.
- Contribute to process improvements, helping refine workflow and support scalability as our Central Tax team grows.
Requirements
- Experience with private equity, executive compensation, high complexity K-1 activity, and multi-state filings at the individual level.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus).
- CPA, EA, or JD designation required.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar setting.
- Proven experience working with high-net-worth individuals and family entities.
- Proficiency in technology-driven tax workflows (Thomson Reuters experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
