Responsibilities
- Be a trusted member of the team providing various tax, accounting, and advisory services to middle market clients
- Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings
- Review and analyze accounting records and/or reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with clients to discuss accounting and business matters
- Deliver best-in-class customer service to clients at all times, with an emphasis on being responsive, timely, professional, and accurate
- Manage and build client relationships, act as liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assist team leaders in researching and providing additional services to clients
- Effectively delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws
- Aid in managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring client profitability targets are met
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community
- Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm-wide learning and development programs

Requirements
- 5 years of experience
- 4-year degree
- CPA, Law License, Enrolled Agent (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, master's or advanced degree desirable
- 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting, and advisory services in a professional services firm
- 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring, and counseling associates
- Master's or advanced degree in accounting, finance, or related field (desirable)
- CPA or JD preferred
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
