Tax Manager
Allworth Financial (www.allworthfinancial.com) is seeking a Tax Manager for our Folsom, CA, Vancouver, WA, or Pleasant Hill, CA offices. This is a full-time, Exempt role based out of Folsom, CA.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review income, estate/trust and gift tax returns
- Provide feedback to staff on tax situations and transactions
- Analyze and respond to IRS, state, and local tax agency notices
- Collaborate with clients and financial advisors on strategic tax planning
- Resolve client tax-related questions and issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, tax authorities, firm staff, and management
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- Valid CPA license
- 6+ years of individual, trust, and gift tax return preparation and review experience
- Multi-state tax preparation/filing experience preferred
- Experience with Form 1041 Trust & Estate and Form 709 Gift returns
- Proficiency in Excel and other software
- Intuit Lacerte tax software experience preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients, and tight deadlines

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 per year depending on location and experience. In addition, we provide generous benefits to all our full-time employees.
