Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and closely held businesses.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
- Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions.
- Review financial statements and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Aid clients with QuickBooks Online, bookkeeping questions, and financial cleanup.
- Communicate directly with clients, the IRS, and state tax agencies regarding tax matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and trusted advisory services.
- Utilize tax software and accounting technology to manage engagements efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing individual and business tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of pass-through entities, partnerships, S corporations, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required.
- Experience with Lacerte, SurePrep, or similar tax software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
