About the role
Tax Manager - Join Our Highly Successful Team!
Responsibilities
- Analyze client books and records to identify adjustments necessary to prepare accurate income tax returns
- Prepare and review individual, trust, estate, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns
- Prepare and review multi-state income tax returns
- Assist with quarterly tax planning for clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (must have taken courses in advanced accounting and taxation); Master's degree preferred
- CPA or EA certification highly desirable
- Minimum of 3 years of income tax preparation experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching/training staff
- Strong accounting skills, including experience preparing account reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and accrual to cash conversions
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in financial analysis
- Experience with tax software and the preparation of workpapers that support tax returns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including expert English verbal and written skills
- Attention to detail and quality orientation
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
