About the role
The Hawkins Ash CPAs Spring Tax Internship offers an opportunity to develop your skills, build lasting relationships, and make a meaningful impact for clients in a collaborative environment where your contributions matter and your growth is supported.
- Gain hands-on tax-related experience
- Participate in the January Intern Training event to help you obtain the technical skills needed to start contributing right away
- Receive on-the-job training and real-world experience working with clients, putting what you learned in the classroom to use
- Have the opportunity to work directly with staff—from Associates to Partners—and learn directly from them
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns
- Conduct tax research and convey information to your supervisor
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements to enable effective and informed decision-making
- Demonstrate your work ethic, knowledge, and interest in joining Hawkins Ash CPAs full-time
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Completed a corporate or individual taxation class
- Actively achieving credits to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Office
