About the role
We are looking for our CPA, a senior leader for our tax practice. This is a client-facing, advisory role with real ownership: you'll sign off on complex partnership returns, advise sponsors on structuring and transactions, lead a team of reviewers and preparers (onshore and offshore), and help take our services to market. The right person is an experienced tax manager ready to step up, or a new senior tax manager who wants more room to build.
Requirements
- Own final professional sign-off on partnership returns for real estate sponsors, funds, family offices, and operating entities.
- Advise clients on entity structuring, transactions, distributions, and inbound investor matters - including foreign investor structures (Blocker / REIT / treaty considerations).
- Serve as the senior point of contact on key accounts; lead kickoffs, planning conversations, and year-end tax strategy sessions.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and manage engagements from initial planning through final delivery.
- Lead and develop a team of experienced reviewers and preparers, and coordinate effectively with offshore prep teams.
- Partner with leadership on service design, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for our tax offerings, contributing to the continued growth and evolution of our tax practice by helping define processes, standards, and best practices.
Nice-to-Have
- Comfort with tech-driven, AI-assisted tax workflows and genuine curiosity about where the industry is going.
- Experience coordinating with offshore or outsourced prep teams.
- CCH Axcess experience specifically.
- Familiarity with 1031 exchanges, cost segregation, and other real-estate-specific tax matters.
- Multi-state filing exposure (especially NY, CA, TX, and FL).
- Experience managing a book of business and leading client relationships from kickoff through year-end.
- Experience building, mentoring, and managing teams of preparers and reviewers.
- Professional working proficiency in Hebrew is an advantage.
