Tax Director/Partner, Consumer Products
About the role
Serves as a strategic advisor to clients in the consumer products industry, delivering innovative tax planning and compliance solutions. Oversees preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, and individual shareholders/partners. Addresses complex tax issues such as inventory accounting, sales and use tax, state nexus, and multi-state filings. Develops and implements tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions for clients. Advises on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring within the consumer products sector. Stays current on tax law changes impacting consumer products businesses and communicates updates to clients and internal teams. Mentors and develops tax professionals at all levels, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Drives growth of the Consumer Products practice through market-facing initiatives, networking, and thought leadership. Identifies new business opportunities and expands relationships with existing clients. Represents Anchin at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and attract new clients.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with significant exposure to the consumer products industry.
- Proven track record in tax planning, compliance, and advisory for complex entity structures.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation
