About the role
This full-time, hybrid role is based in New York, NY, and supervises managers and below within the Tax – Consumer Products Group.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients in the consumer products industry, delivering innovative tax planning and compliance solutions.
- Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, and individual shareholders/partners.
- Address complex tax issues such as inventory accounting, sales and use tax, state nexus, and multi-state filings.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions for clients.
- Advise on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring within the consumer products sector.
- Stay current on tax law changes impacting consumer products businesses and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.
- Mentor and develop tax professionals at all levels, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Drive growth of the Consumer Products practice through market-facing initiatives, networking, and thought leadership.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Represent Anchin at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and attract new clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, EA, or Law License required.
- Proven ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team.
