Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities within the consumer products industry.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and timely filing of tax returns while maintaining and managing tax records and documentation.
- Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients in the consumer products industry.
- Identify and implement tax-saving strategies and opportunities.
- Research complex tax issues and develop solutions that minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits.
- Understand clients' business operations, industry, and needs to provide tailored tax advice.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on tax issues and potential impacts on their business.
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations affecting the consumer products industry.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain proficiency.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices within the tax department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive tax services.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA highly preferred.
