About the role
We are seeking a seasoned Tax Director to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our company’s tax operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all tax operations, including tax planning, compliance, and audit defense strategies.
- Develop and implement effective tax management strategies that align with the company’s overall financial goals.
- Analyze current and upcoming tax laws to assess their impact on the company and advise management accordingly.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities on tax-related matters.
- Provide tax expertise to high net worth clients and corporations, delivering strategic advice tailored to their unique needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in tax regulations to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field is highly desirable.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
- Extensive experience working with corporations and high net worth individuals.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Pay
$185,000 - $225,000 per year
