Century Group is partnering with a client seeking a Tax Director to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Lead tax planning and compliance activities while supporting business transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee preparation and review of tax filings, reports, and investor-related tax documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage tax reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate compliance activities with internal and external parties.
- Respond to tax examinations, inquiries, and regulatory requests while maintaining strong relationships with advisors and stakeholders.
- Partner with accounting, legal, and investment teams to provide guidance on tax matters and reporting obligations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting, corporate tax, or related environments.
- Strong knowledge of real estate taxation, partnership taxation, and entity compliance requirements.
- Experience managing multistate tax filings, reporting obligations, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Proficiency with Excel and tax software used for analysis, reporting, and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex tax matters and business transactions.
- Effective communication with executives, advisors, investors, and cross-functional business partners.
- Leadership experience managing tax professionals, consultants, and external service providers.
- Exceptional attention to detail while balancing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Professional certification, public accounting experience, or expertise supporting real estate investment structures is beneficial.
Pay
Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $220,000 per year, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, and location.
