About the role
The Tax Director will lead the tax function, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. They will manage a team of tax professionals and provide strategic guidance on tax planning and compliance issues.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for various entities, including federal, state, and local levels.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize tax efficiency while maintaining compliance.
- Manage a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and career development opportunities.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company remains compliant.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate environment.
- A CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in leading tax teams and managing complex tax projects.
- Knowledge of tax software and systems.
