Tax Controversy Associate

Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Philadelphia, PA office is seeking an Associate with 3–7 years of federal tax controversy experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle federal tax disputes, including audits, appeals, and tax litigation
• Address substantive federal income tax issues
• Engage in corporate, partnership, criminal, and/or civil tax litigation (a plus)

Requirements

• 3–7 years of federal tax controversy experience
• Law firm, IRS Chief Counsel, Department of Justice (Tax Division), and/or U.S. Tax Court federal clerkship experience
• Excellent academic and employment credentials
• Strong oral and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven research and writing abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
• Admission to practice in at least one state (Pennsylvania preferred)

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax (preferred but not required)
