About the role

We currently have an exciting career opportunity on our Tax teams in our Richmond office for Fall 2026. This position is hybrid, with team members encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration.

Your Team

  • Work closely with Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
  • Serve clients across industries, including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services.
  • Access office amenities and collaborative spaces.
  • Receive guidance from a Performance Coach to establish goals and career path feedback.
  • Connect with a CR Friend for support and familiarity when joining the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax returns, including Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporate tax returns.
  • Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
  • Research filing requirements and tax issues using the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, and other relevant authorities.
  • Manage daily client workflow and multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Draft tax technical memorandums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2025 and September 2026 to be CPA licensed.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in both your major and overall.
  • Leadership positions in extracurricular activities are preferred.
  • Prior work or internship experience (accounting experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based culture.
  • Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (no sponsorship offered for entry-level roles).
