Tax Analyst I
Basic Job Functions
The International Tax Analyst I position is responsible for supporting international tax strategic analyses, documentation, and compliance with respect to various cross-border domestic taxes and international taxes. The role will also be responsible for preparing U.S. international tax compliance returns and related workpapers and supporting the international tax provision calculations and documentation.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Masters degree in Accounting, Master in Tax (MST), and/or CPA preferred.
- 6+ months of experience in Tax within Public Accounting or a Corporate Tax environment OR MST or equivalent.
- Experience with CSC Corptax software preferred.
- International tax experience preferred.
Required Skills/Competencies
- Strong mathematical and financial/accounting analytical and work paper preparation skills using Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with U.S. international tax forms such as Forms 5471, 8858, and 1118 preferred.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
- Ability to work effectively within the tax department and with other functions.
- Detail oriented, strong critical thinking skills to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well-thought out.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare US informational tax returns in CSC CorpTax and work papers (5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, etc.) including schedules for annual/quarterly Subpart F income, Net CFC Tested Income (previously known as Global intangible low-taxed income), E&P studies, and section 163j.
- Maintenance of CSC CorpTax database with regard to foreign entities’ ownership and information.
- Maintenance of permanent tax files for the Company’s international subsidiaries, prepare various elections and relevant filings (i.e. entity classification, tax residency certificate requests).
- Analyze and Prepare Monthly & Annual U.S. Withholding Compliance Remittances & Returns.
- Support external tax advisors and auditors with information requests.
- As needed, prepare or confirm periodic journal entries, reconciliations and working papers to support the Company’s various international tax matters.
- Identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy in international tax reporting and compliance.
- Perform self-review of work product ensuring agreement to source information and balancing of tax return.
- Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Manager- Tax. This position will not have direct reports.

$58,656-$69,000 US
