Tax Analyst I

What You'll Do
- Under general supervision, support the tax compliance and reporting activities of ALLETE and its affiliates
- Assist in the preparation of tax compliance requirements, conducting basic tax research, and participate in financial control processes
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to the utility industry, supporting regulatory reporting obligations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Gain valuable experience in tax analysis and develop a foundational understanding of the utility industry's unique tax environment
- Detail-oriented ability and strong analytical skills required
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required to establish and maintain relationships
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree required
- Candidates graduating by December 31, 2026 will be considered
- Degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred, but an equivalent degree with applicable accounting course work may be considered
- No experience required

Pay
$58,000 - $72,000 annual compensation range. Hybrid with in-person reporting to Duluth, MN.
