Tax Analyst

About the role

The Tax Analyst will join a collaborative team at Cloudflare, a leader in helping build a better Internet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in public accounting and corporate tax departments. They will assist with various tax-related tasks, including preparing tax provisions, managing tax filings, and supporting M&A activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision and forecasts
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to manage U.S. federal, state, and local income tax filings
• Support M&A transactions, focusing on tax due diligence and post-merger integration
• Assist with stock-based compensation models
• Handle ad hoc requests and projects, such as tax research projects and R&D tax credit studies
• Drive the digital transformation of the tax function through process improvements using technology, automation, and AI

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of significant experience at a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a multinational company
• Proficient in Excel and AI technology
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and inquisitive
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Masters in Tax or Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Experience with Oracle
• Experience with AI technology
