Responsibilities
- Significant involvement in the tax accounting processes for the Americas region, including US international tax compliance & analysis
- Aid in the preparation of bi-annual and annual tax accounting provisions under IAS12
- Prepare international tax forms as filed with the 1120 including forms 1118, 5471, 5472, 8990, 8992, and 8993
- Prepare annual personal property tax returns across various U.S. locations
- Prepare U.S. withholding tax forms 1042 and Canadian withholding tax forms NR4
- Prepare Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) forms
- Prepare various U.S. and Canadian government surveys
- Conduct tax research and analyze foreign tax issues relating to the Americas region
- Support the Tax Manager across international compliance, audits, and tax planning activities, including working with external advisors and local accounting teams
- Aid in the review and analysis of tax laws and participate in various income and non-income tax projects for a large multinational enterprise, providing analytical and operational support under the direction of the Tax Manager
Qualifications, Experience And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2+ years of tax experience in a public accounting or large corporate environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft products, specifically Excel
- Strong analytical and tax research capabilities
- CPA preferred but not required
