Tax Accountant / Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues to identify potential tax savings and compliance opportunities.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Respond to IRS and state tax authority notices and inquiries.
• Assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
