Role Overview United Parks is hiring a Tax Senior to support its Corporate Tax function, ensuring accurate and compliant tax reporting across a multi-entity, multi-state organization. This role exists to deliver timely tax filings, analysis, and reporting that support financial integrity and regulatory compliance. The position sits within the Finance organization and operates at a primarily operational level with exposure to strategic tax planning initiatives. Success in this role is defined by accuracy, timeliness, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, and external advisors to support audits, filings, and tax-related projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare and support federal, state, and local tax filings, including income, sales/use, and other indirect taxesAssist with tax provision calculations, including quarterly and annual reporting requirementsSupport tax compliance processes by gathering, analyzing, and reconciling financial dataPartner with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate tax treatment of transactions and proper documentationAssist in responding to tax notices, audits, and inquiries from regulatory agenciesMaintain and update tax records, schedules, and supporting documentationContribute to tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiencyAnalyze tax data and provide insights to support decision-making and risk mitigationSupport implementation and optimization of tax processes, tools, and controlsAssist with special projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc analysisEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and applicable tax laws and regulations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward certification preferred)3–5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environmentDemonstrated experience supporting tax compliance, reporting, or provision processesStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar)High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectivelyStrong ownership mindset with accountability for accuracy and completeness of workEffective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Finance and non-Finance stakeholdersExperience in a multi-state or multi-entity environment preferredAbility to identify process improvements and contribute to scalable solutions The Perks Of The Position Paid Time OffComplimentary Park Tickets and PassesPark Discounts on Food and MerchandiseMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401K Retirement planVoluntary InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability BenefitsTuition ReimbursementDependent and Health Care Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance ProgramLegal Assistance Plan EEO Employer SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
