Senior/Tax Accountant

Location: Tacoma, WA

Salary Range: $90,000–$110,000 DOE

About the role

Our client, a well‑established family company, is seeking an experienced Accountant with public accounting experience (tax preferred) to work closely with the President and CFO. This position offers great variety and work‑life balance.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Preparation of annual tax workpapers
• Preparation of monthly ad‑hoc owner‑requested reports
• Assist with weekly accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing
• Assist team members with various projects as necessary

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting (required)
• CPA is preferred
• 3+ years of progressive experience
• Experience with tax accounting
• GAAP knowledge
• Experience with both cash and accrual based accounting
• Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks
• Experienced with handling confidentiality
• Great communicator
