About the role
The Senior Accountant, Tax will support various income tax functions including tax compliance, tax provision computations, and tax planning initiatives. This role will be based at Columbus McKinnon Corporation global headquarters with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- In-house preparation, in OneSource Income Tax software, of the consolidated group’s US federal and state income tax filings.
- Aid in the preparation, in OneSource Tax Provision, of the interim and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Prepare supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
- Aid in foreign informational reporting (Forms 5471, 8858).
- Assist with tax research including analysis of new tax laws and the potential impact on the Company.
- Correspond with the IRS and state departments of revenue regarding notices and audits.
- Collaborate with global business unit controllers to obtain then analyze relevant tax data.
- Participate in the building of a professional, proactive, responsive, technically strong tax organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Analytics required.
- 2+ years of full-time corporate tax experience.
- Master’s in Tax or Accounting required.
- CPA preferred.
