About the role
The Tax Accountant will report to the Sr. Tax Manager and be responsible for performing tax accounting and supporting the team with research, audits, and projects. They will work closely with accounting, treasury, and other functional groups in support of the company's tax strategy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal, state, and local corporate tax filings including responsibility of managing/meeting deadlines.
- Accountable for meeting estimated/extension deadlines as well as making tax payments.
- Reconcile fixed assets for GAAP and Federal tax depreciation, examine and resolve discrepancies.
- Review/reconcile state apportionment schedules.
- Research and implement tax change/reform appropriately.
- Manage the continued development of electronic workpapers and department efficiencies.
- Prepare monthly tax account reconciliation and quarterly variance analysis.
- Review/reconcile tax sensitive general ledger accounts as needed.
- Prepare FinCEN, Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts.
- Responsible for tax department SOX and SSAE compliance tasks.
- Aid in Uniform Capitalization calculations.
- Prepare international tax calculations.
- Assist with the year-end close and the collection of data for provision tax calculations.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements
- CPA or CPA candidate, with an undergraduate degree in accounting or related business discipline required.
- Minimum of 5 plus years’ experience working in Tax, either in public accounting and/or industry.
- International tax exposure to Forms 5471 and 8858.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in OneSource, Checkpoint, BNA, and CCH Axcess Workflow (XCM) is a plus.
Qualifications

- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.

Pay
- The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $98,000 with bonus potential.
