Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our growing team in Hollywood, Florida. Responsibilities

• Prepare a high volume of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations.
• Manage tax preparation engagements from start to finish while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Review client financial records and identify tax planning opportunities.
• Conduct tax research and stay current on changing tax laws and regulations.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer tax-related questions, and provide exceptional service.
• Assist with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence.
• Prepare tax projections and estimated tax calculations.
• Work closely with partners and senior staff on complex tax engagements.
• Maintain organized workpapers and ensure compliance with firm quality standards.
• Support clients throughout the year with ongoing tax planning and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA candidate preferred.
• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred.
• Strong experience with heavy tax preparation across multiple entity types.
• Knowledge of current federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
