Tax Accountant

About the role

Tax Accountant (3-Month Contract) Pay Rate: $26.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM Location: Onsite in Tampa, Florida

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support all day-to-day indirect tax processes, coordinating with third-party advisors for sales & use tax, property tax, and business licenses.
• Prepare and file select indirect tax returns.
• Aid with tax registrations and miscellaneous compliance filings.
• Support direct tax compliance, including federal/state workpapers, tax estimates, and international data collection.
• Assist in resolving federal/state tax notices.
• Maintain and summarize tax legislation, assess its impacts, and document clear research conclusions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 1–2 years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Corptax, BNA Tax Research, or OneStream (a plus)
