Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $95,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Prepare and review tax returns, supporting schedules, and related documentation to ensure accurate and timely filings. Assist with tax provision calculations, financial reporting support, and reconciliation of tax related accounts. Analyze financial transactions and business activities to identify tax impacts, risks, and planning opportunities. Support tax audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance projects by gathering information and preparing responses. Collaborate with accounting, finance, and other departments to provide tax guidance and improve reporting processes. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a related tax function. Working knowledge of GAAP, income tax accounting, and tax compliance principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative environment. Qualifications Previous experience with multi-state, federal, international, or corporate tax compliance activities. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and tax data. Prior experience performing tax research and documenting conclusions on technical issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
