Tax Accountant / Senior Staff Accountant Take your accounting career beyond compliance and into strategic business impact. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze quarterly financial statements for assigned entitiesProvide budget-to-actual variance analysis and financial insights to management and ownership groupsReview daily cash activity and ensure transactions are accurately recorded to the appropriate accountsReview monthly bank reconciliations for accuracy and completenessPrepare and review quarter-end journal entries and account reconciliationsLead annual budgeting efforts in collaboration with property management and construction teamsManage year-end general ledger reviews and closing processesPrepare partnership and LLC tax returns and support tax compliance activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controlsCollaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational initiatives What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Active CPA licenseBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of public accounting audit experienceMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience preparing partnership and LLC tax returnsStrong understanding of financial reporting, GAAP, and general ledger accountingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Preferred Qualifications MBA or Master of Taxation (MBT)Experience within real estate, construction, or property managementExperience with Sage CRE 300 and/or ProSystem fx Tax Ideal Candidate You are a proactive accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of your work, solving complex financial challenges, and translating financial data into meaningful business insights. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whittier, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.50 - $52.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
