Tasting Room Lead
As a Tasting Room Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day business operations of the tasting room, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to company standards. You will lead, mentor, and support the associates to provide a best-in-class guest experience. You will model exceptional customer service and professionalism, setting the tone for the team.
- Support staff scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure the tasting room standards are consistently upheld, such as maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with state and company guidelines.
- Aid with any Northstar event execution, wine club member engagement, and retail sales or promotion initiatives.
- Provide accurate information regarding the Northstar wine club and mailing list while encouraging guests to sign up.
- Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships, and to collect wine tasting fees as needed.
- Provide accurate, timely, and thorough reports including monthly inventory reconciliation and daily wine sample logs.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk for extended periods of time.
Position Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have MAST12 Class Permit and Food Handler's Permit.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- 3+ years of customer service experience required (retail/hospitality preferred).
- Excellent communication skills with ability to speak comfortably and audibly in front of groups.
- High level of experience with problem solving and customer resolution while remaining calm and professional.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Goal orientated and able to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills with superior knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems.
- Must be flexible and available to work varied hours.
- History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
Compensation
Your compensation will be $21.41 – $27.83 per hour based upon relevant experience. At Ste. Michelle Wine Estates we believe in paying our employees equal pay for equal work. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s prior experience and education level as it pertains to the role.
